West End Mining Company Limited undertakes gold prospecting and mining activities in Ghana, West Africa and has initiated reconnaissance activities on concessions, which have been acquired from the Traditional Councils of the various local mining communities and registered with the Government of Ghana through the Minerals Commission.
This is in line with our company’s aim of becoming a major player in the gold mining industry in Ghana. The concessions in total cover a surface of 298.3 acres in various locations; Prestea and Wassa West District in the Western Region and Kade in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
West End Mining Company (WEMCO) Limited is a pure precious minerals’ mining company with its head Office located in Accra, Ghana.
It operates a co-operative society business organization comprising twelve (12) small-scale mining companies in former Gold Coast now Ghana.
WEMCO has mining concessions in the four (4) major gold producing regions of Ghana, namely; Ashanti, Eastern, Western and Central regions.
It is a registered business entity under the Companies Code, 1963 (Act 179) with the Registrar General’s Department of Ghana.
With a staff-strength of over 200 workers located in the Eastern and Western regions (2 major gold extraction areas) in Ghana, WEMCO refines and purifies minerals at a greater value for money. Recently, in just these two regions, the co-operative increased its monthly production of pure gold from 200kilograms per month to almost 285kilograms due to the injection of new technologies in the mines. West End Mining Company Limited also buys and sells genuine pure gold and other precious minerals from other companies.

To add to our list of great achievements, West End Mining Company Limited has acquired yet other rich gold mining concession fields in the Eastern region of Ghana totaling 1,404 acres earmarked for large-scale mining. In view of this development, the Board of Directors and management unanimously agree to invite applications from prospective investors for a joint-venture business agreement.
